On April 7th, Vincent Tauzia, CEO and co-founder of COGNIK, was honored during the INSEAD XII Trophies ceremony hosted by former French Finance Minister Jacques Sautter.

For the last decades, this prize has been rewarding entrepreneurs who have succeeded in creating, building or taking over medium-sized or large companies, bringing them onto the road of growth and profitability. The newly created category for start-up companies rewards innovative entrepeneurs.

CONNECTED CREATIVITY AT MIPTV UNVEILS CC VENTURES FINALISTS

Paris, 17 March 2011 – CC Ventures, the new startup competition for innovation in connected entertainment today unveils the 11 finalists. They will pitch their projects to an expert jury during Connected Creativity at MIPTV, the new global forum uniting the world’s dominant market forces and leading innovators in entertainment, mobile media and technology which runs from 4-7 April in Cannes.

The CC Ventures finalists, selected by an international committee headed by Guilhem Bertholet, Director of the HEC Incubator, are: Camup, USA; Cognik, France; Fair Play Interactive, France; Futurecode, Finland; Hit Me Baby, UK; Hitlantis, Finland; Invideous, UK; Jakaa, France; Lorenzi TV, France; Mediabong, France and Stupeflix, France.

CogniK awarded at LeWeb10 in Paris10 Dec

At LeWeb 10, the international web conference gathering Internet start-ups from all around the world, CogniK won the 2nd prize of the OpenAPI Hackathon set up by Alcatel-Lucent.

CogniK team developed, on-site and in only a few hours of hard coding, an Android adaptation of Kizz TV, the edutainment service for preschool kids, using some Alcatel-Lucent’s Open API Service APIs.

On Thursday, Vincent Tauzia, CogniK co-founder and CEO, was on stage: he had the opportunity to pitch CogniK solutions, featuring a unique profiling & recommendation engine solutions to based on cognitive science, to LeWeb audience. Vincent also had the pleasure to receive a 3000 EUR check.

Kizz TV, the online educational platform for preschool children, was launched twelve months ago in France by CogniK. Egmont, based in Denmark, is a leading Scandinavian media group, with sales of 1.4 billion euros in 2009. With operations in publishing, press, television, film, music and games, Egmont is particularly involved with children with its Egmont Kids Media division. CogniK has signed a strategic partnership with Egmont Kids Media to launch multiple localized versions of Kizz TV across Europe.
